To celebrate the imminent Tour of Britain, due to get under way on 11th September, we have created - with our team co-sponsors Rapha and Sharp - a special edition Supporter’s Pack to help you follow the Rapha Condor Sharp team. The pack includes an exclusive wall chart to help you keep track of developments, a stylish pair of Union Jacks in team colours, as well as stickers and face masks of team riders.
If you're heading to London don’t forget to look out for the 'H' van at the London stage of the Tour of Britain.

To receive your free Supporter’s Pack, visit us in store this weekend or head to the team website http://www.raphacondorsharp.cc/.

If you want to ride the London, Stoke or South West stages of the Tour of Britain you can and raise money for the Prostate Cancer charity! Register for the sportives here. We'll be riding the Stoke and London stages so see you there!

Food for Thought

Over the bank holiday weekend we decided to end our summer on a high. A sugary cake induced high. Claire from our London office and 'Curley' from the women's team joined forces for three days of riding.  You might have seen our tweets?

Would it be fair to say cyclists like a cafe stop or two? If so, then these riders took that notion and ran with it, deciding it was time to test out the tearooms of the Midlands, finding and sampling the cakes from Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire, Leicestershire and Yorkshire.
Why that part of the country? Well, there are some great views, fantastic roads and it's always nice to discover a new road and new cafe.

Condor 2010 Summer Sale

And so we wave good bye to Summer. It was a good one; plenty of cycling on the TV, good weather, and not a total wash out. Plenty of rides and sportives to attempt. We went to the Dolomites, the Maratona and the Etape this year.

But as the sun sets we know it's time for gilets and long sleeves, and with that, Condor has marked down its summer wear.

30% off Campagnolo long and short sleeve jerseys and jackets
30% off Craft short sleeve jerseys
20% off Assos short sleeve jerseys
10% off Assos shorts
25% off original RRP of Solo jerseys
30% off Gore summer wear
30% off Mavic summer wear

We've reduced our Rapha clothing, too, including Country Jerseys, Gingham Shirts, Touring Shorts, caps, and Touring Gloves, with savings ranging from 15-20%.

A muddy blog post

Last night was a chance to put our new cyclo cross frame through its paces in a proper race in proper Cyclocross conditions. Up until now the grass hasn't been slippery and the mud hasn't been gloopy enough.
Sammy and Tom took to the Herne Hill velodrome for their first ever taste of Cyclocross while Ben and Claire reacquianted themselves with the world of mud after nearly six months of tarmac.

From Condor to Henley

We think summer is over? So lucky we made it out into the sunshine for a big ride. A couple of Sunday's ago we met up at the Gray's Inn Road store to head west, finding the river once or twice and ending up in the civil parish of Henley-on-Thames.

Small wheels and a collaspable frame. It can only be a folding bike.
Usually found on a train in the arms of a commuter these little feats of engineering were sent around the twisty Blackpool Nocturne course at the weekend, providing a unique experience for Condor staffer Claire Beaumont and a dapper Dan Craven.
Aboard  the Dahon Vitesse and riding to finish 6th Claire explained "that was a tough five laps, I unfolded that pretty quick and got away nearly first. It takes a bit of getting used to when you want to hoon it round at full speed, especially through the corners, that was so fun. I'm in bits."
Riding a black Brompton M3L Dan was away from the line last not quite getting his unfold right but his racing tact and pro rider fitness allowed him to make up some time and take victory over the field. What a ringer!

Recreated in leather

Today something rather special arrived at Condor Cycles. Printed on the inside of fine-grained calf leather you will find the Rapha Condor riders against the backdrop of Paul Smith’s multi-stripe Mini on the Nottingham Embankment.
Here is the link to the Paul Smith site, if, like us, you feel it catches your eye.
